London is one of the most thriving and highly populated cities in the world. Globally on the forefront of media and the arts it is no surprise that the capital of the UK is such a melting pot of cultures, with more than 300 languages spoken across the Greater London area. Being the most populous municipality in the European Union it is also no surprise that London is the cocaine capital of Europe…and according to the European Drug Report 2014, consumption peaking on a Tuesday.
From Cocaine to Cannabis it is not difficult to score on the streets of London and there are increasingly more and more users. However the issue isn’t the individual or the drug, nor, and more importantly, is it an issue for the judicial system. Everyone has a right to do with their body as they wish and if that means a two day acid trip in Camden or a Ecstasy fuelled night in Shoreditch, then so be it.
What we lack is education…
